Our only objective is to meet the cosmetic, cultural, educational and lifestyle
needs of the African Diaspora of naturally textured hair. We meet this objective
by mutually improving the health and appearance of our clients, providing
 informative and historical literature about African Americans' hair
and cultural experiences, by offering education, and through the
display of African heritage at TWIST.
 
As a business, we aim to promote services in accordance to cosmetic industry
standards, wellness practices and with respect to the triple bottom
line business theory.

Our mission is to be an institution whose services foster a positive African
self-image in a way that is healthy for humanity and the
environment. It is our belief that to be in pursuit of a positive African
image is to be in pursuit of collectivism, which in African tradition, is the
observance of all things being inherently one.
